  • Overview
  • Auburn's McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security, in collaboration with the Oak Ridge National Lab (ORNL), will establish a Southeast Region Cyber Collaboration Center to enhance the cyber security of the U.
S. electricity sector. This center, including stakeholders from industry, government, and academia will facilitate information sharing and generate innovative solutions for cyber risk mitigation. As part of this project, Auburn will be providing multi-disciplinary direct critical infrastructure security experiences to students and critical infrastructure practitioners. This position supports program execution and operational delivery through business analysis, project management, scrum facilitation, supply chain coordination, and budget management. The student will work closely with technical teams, program leadership, and external partners to translate requirements into actionable plans, track project performance, coordinate procurement and logistics, and support financial and schedule control for active research and infrastructure programs. This role provides hands-on exposure to applied systems delivery in a complex, multi-stakeholder research and operational environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • + Support project and program planning, scheduling, and execution activities across technical and operational teams + Serve as a supporting scrum facilitator by coordinating sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives + Develop and maintain project documentation, requirements, task tracking, and performance metrics + Assist with supply chain and procurement coordination, including tracking equipment orders, vendor communications, delivery schedules, and installation readiness + Support budget planning, cost tracking, and financial reporting for active projects and research initiatives + Assist leadership with resource planning, staffing coordination, and workload balancing across teams + Support risk, issue, and change tracking, including preparation of briefings and status reports for stakeholders •Qualifications•Enrolled student at Auburn University Must have the ability to work 20 hours per week Preferred Qualifications Undergraduate student in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, Business, Finance, or a related field •Why Work at Auburn?
