Key Duties & Responsibilities Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Project Management and Planning Operations Manager to join our team in Courtland, AL! This position will lead a team of individuals responsible for production planning and execution, accelerating performance excellence, cross functional collaboration. In addition, this role will serve as the Deputy Production Manager to the Conventional Prompt Strike Assembly, Integration, and Test Senior Manager, providing support, technical oversight and direction for the team during times of absence. This position is in support of the latest cutting-edge hypersonic missile production programs. Summary of key duties for this position:
  • Responsible for leading a team of Vehicle Integration Team (VIT) Leads - ensure readiness and execution of integration and testing activities that meets internal operating and contractual schedules
  • Support and assist with leading execution of TAKT time-based production implementation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Industrial Engineering, Material Resource Planning (MRP), and other Support Functions, as required, to ensure holistic execution of organization to meet current and future demand of customers
  • Performance Management Team (PMT) Focal - Oversight of accelerating performance excellence utilizing PMT Teams across the organization, ensuring floor and staff PMTs are aligned to the Program and Space enterprise while identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives to increase repeatability, efficiency, and throughput
  • Assist AI&T Senior Manager with Planning, staffing and resource management
Basic Qualifications:
  • Interim Secret clearance required prior to start
  • Experience in Final Assembly Manufacturing, Ordnance, and/or Assembly, Integration, and Test environments
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership (FSL) imperatives
  • High volume/high-rate production experience
  • Willingness/ability to present to high level customers and LM executives
  • Must be a United States citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree (Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred) or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience in Ramp to Rate, Accelerated Production, and/or Automated Production environments
  • Team Leadership or Project Management Experience of a Multi-Functional/Discipline Team
  • Experience with defect trend analysis, root cause/corrective action
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with Customers, Engineering, Material, Quality, and other functions, as required
  • Lean Six Sigma / LM21 Certified (Green or Black Belt)
  • Process Improvement Experience
  • Performance Management Team (PMT) Lead Experience
  • Experience in financial estimating and planning cost account milestones
  • Experience in, or adjacent to, assembly/manufacturing, manufacturing engineering and/or test engineering, with knowledge of hardware integration and test flows
  • Experience working with SAP, ePDM, CREO, CAMEO, Apriso, VECAMS, PMP Database and/or Lockheed Martin Automation Framework Software, or industry equivalent
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build solid relationships with customer, program management, and team members
  • Familiarity with any of the Lockheed Martin Business Areas (Aeronautics, MFC, RMS, or Space
  • Previous L-code/leadership experience (Full Spectrum Leadership)
  • Industrial Engineering Experience
  • Scheduling Experience (in manufacturing or similar)

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
