Job Description

Assistant Project Manager - Federal Construction A highly respected federal general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support large-scale government and DoD construction projects. About the Role The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager and field leadership in coordinating all phases of construction — from preconstruction through closeout. This includes managing documentation, RFIs, submittals, schedules, and communication between the field, office, and client. This position requires travel to project sites , which may include military bases or secured federal locations. Responsibilities Support project planning, scheduling, and procurement activities Manage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentation Assist in budget tracking and cost control efforts Collaborate with superintendents and subcontractors to maintain project progress and quality Ensure all work meets federal compliance, safety, and reporting standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred 2-5+ years of experience in commercial or federal construction Experience supporting USACE, NAVFAC, or GSA projects is a plus Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or MS Project Strong attention to detail and communication skills Willingness to travel as needed for project site support Why This Opportunity Industry leading salary and full benefits package along with living allowance Excellent training and advancement potential within a highly respected federal contractor Opportunity to work on meaningful, mission-driven projects If you're ready to take the next step in your construction career and join a respected federal contractor, applly online today or email Kenna Warren at kenna.warren@gogpac.com .
