Position Summary:
The Senior Associate Director for Enrollment Outreach at Arkansas State University plays a key role in shaping the prospective student's experience from the first impression of the institution to their initial enrollment at Arkansas State University. Reporting directly to the Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management, this role provides leadership for first-year regional recruiters and transfer admissions. Oversees day-to-day recruitment operations in coordination with the Senior Associate Director for Enrollment Operations to ensure the execution of enrollment strategies.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Recruitment Leadership and Funnel Management 30% Lead the development, implementation, oversight, and evaluation of comprehensive recruitment and admissions plans. Collaborate with Enrollment Management leadership to refine and execute strategic initiatives that align with university goals. Use data and analytics to monitor KPIs, drive recruitment strategy, and inform decision-making. Stay current on emerging recruitment policies, practices, and trends through professional staff development and conference participation. Strategize funnel management plan for admissions counselors Serve as Leadership on Duty for the office of admissions in collaboration with the Senior Associate Director of Enrollment Operations (SAD Operations) Welcome Center 30% Supervise the Welcome Center and co-supervise student ambassadors, providing training and professional development to ensure high-quality service and alignment with recruitment goals and message within campus tour. Direct the daily operations and strategic planning of the Admissions Welcome Center, ensuring exceptional customer service and a welcoming guest experience. Maintain high standards for service, scheduling, and visitor engagement. Collaborate with the SAD Operations, utilizing Admissions counselors to meet university standards for engagement to drive KPIs
  • across admissions populations to ensure the campus visit strategy is aligned with territory management, events and yield efforts.
Responsible for updating Welcome Center presentation to meet university standards Liaison with the SAD Operations to schedule Admissions staff participation in campus events and visits. Partner with Enrollment Management units, Marketing, and campus departments to ensure consistent communication and branding across recruitment activities. Provide admissions counseling coverage, including front desk support and recruitment visits, as needed. Recruitment & Outreach 40% Oversee recruitment counselors in Admissions and the Associate Director of Transfer Admissions, ensuring effective execution of regional and population-specific strategies. Manage admissions counselor travel procedures including tracking and requesting recruitment materials according to office standards. Serve as a recruiter for special populations, including outreach beyond Arkansas and in targeted U.S. regions. Coordinate training with academic colleges and departments to ensure recruitment practices, strategies, and materials remain accurate and effective. Collaborate with the Admissions Coordinator for Community Engagement to design and implement outreach that builds relationships with community organizations, businesses, nonprofits, and civic groups, with emphasis on Northeast Arkansas. Supervise the daily activities of recruitment staff within the assigned master-schedule for daily campus visits, recruitment events and regional recruitment travel and event calendar. Receive ArkACRAO and surrounding states admissions/recruitment fair/event invitations and RSVP to attend priority schools and/or decline and request support through Alumni Engagement and Outreach as key liaison Ensure Admissions Counselor are trained and provide the coverage and service roles assigned to them as Lead Counselor to schedule experience and engagement for the Welcome Center and Admissions Office. Provide support for daily operations of the Welcome Center, including individual and group tours. Supervise and coach staff to ensure alignment with enrollment goals, professional growth, and high-quality service delivery. Collaborate with SAD Operations and SAD EMC to design and deliver an innovative, personalized campus visit experience that inspires prospective students and supports enrollment outcomes. Supervise admissions counselors including their assigned daily office coverage, admissions presentations, recruitment travel and events, and tracking interactions in Slate to achieve their territory management KPI's for applications, admitted students and enrollment. Other duties as assigned
