Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Mechanical/Process Piping Project Manager to lead complex piping and mechanical projects within the construction industry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale process piping initiatives, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for construction management to drive project success from inception through completion. Duties Lead and coordinate all phases of mechanical and process piping projects, including planning, design review, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Manage project budgets, estimates, and cost control measures utilizing HeavyBid or comparable estimating tools. Review blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to verify accuracy and compliance with project specifications. Oversee subcontractor and vendor activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and contractual obligations. Facilitate effective communication among clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project coordination. Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, resolve issues promptly, and maintain construction site safety standards. Utilize construction estimating techniques and civil 3D software for accurate planning and resource allocation. Manage contract administration processes including scope changes, claims, and documentation to mitigate risks. Ensure all work aligns with project schedules while maintaining a focus on quality control and safety compliance. Experience Proven experience managing mechanical or process piping projects within the construction industry with a strong background in construction site management. Extensive knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical specifications related to heavy industrial piping systems. Demonstrated expertise in construction estimating using HeavyBid or similar software tools. Proficiency in project management software for scheduling and design coordination. Strong understanding of contracts, procurement processes, and construction management best practices. Prior experience coordinating large-scale projects involving multiple stakeholders across various disciplines. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in fast-paced environments. The Project Supervisor will be responsible for managing and supervising field personnel. Additionally, the Project Supervisor will interact daily with coworkers, customers, vendors, and the general public.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Combination of office and field-based work
- Frequent presence in industrial or construction environments
- Ability to wear required PPE and navigate active job sites
- Frequent travel may be required While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk, hear, and see using close- and/or distance-vision, and use their hands to touch, grasp, or type.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Duties are typically performed in both indoor and outdoor environments. The indoor work environment is usually a well-lit, environmentally controlled environment with a moderate level of noise in a production facility. The outdoor environment may require the employee to be exposed to outdoor weather conditions including temperatures above 100 degrees Fahrenheit and below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
