Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Project Manager responsible for overseeing and executing key projects within BioLab Holdings' product portfolio. The Project Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with teams in Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Manufacturing, and other departments to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, exceptional communication abilities, and experience working within regulated environments. Essential Functions Project Planning & Execution Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, resource requirements, deliverables, and milestones. Manage all phases of the project lifecycle and ensure alignment with company goals and strategic objectives. Facilitate project kickoff meetings, sprint planning sessions, and lessons-learned reviews. Track and report project health metrics, including schedule variance, budget utilization, and resource allocation. Cross-Functional Coordination Collaborate with internal departments including Research & Development, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to achieve project objectives. Serve as the liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders by translating complex requirements into actionable project plans. Budget & Resource Management Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure projects remain within approved financial parameters. Identify and coordinate resource requirements necessary to meet project timelines and objectives. Ensure appropriate allocation of personnel, equipment, and materials. Risk Management & Issue Resolution Identify project risks, constraints, and bottlenecks proactively. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Resolve project-related issues and recommend corrective actions as necessary. Regulatory & Compliance Ensure projects comply with applicable regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal procedures. Partner with Regulatory Affairs to support timely submissions and regulatory deliverables. Communication & Reporting Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates and stakeholder communications. Provide regular status reports to leadership and project stakeholders. Clearly communicate project risks, achievements, and progress. Performance Tracking & Continuous Improvement Monitor project milestones, deliverables, and timelines using project management tools. Participate in post-project evaluations and implement lessons learned and best practices. Recommend process improvements to enhance project execution and organizational effectiveness. Change Management Managing scope changes formally (change control processes are critical in regulated environments). Minimum Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, Project Management, or a related field required.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 - 3 years of project management experience within biologics, biotechnology, medical device, pharmaceutical, or related regulated industries. Experience managing product development projects under design control processes. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Certifications:
PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM certification preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms. Knowledge of product development processes in regulated environments. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels. Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage multiple projects concurrently. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer. Ability to communicate effectively in person, via telephone, and through electronic communication. Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds. Ability to travel between company facilities as needed. Work Environment Employees in this role may be exposed to a variety of environmental, activity-related, and ergonomic hazards throughout the workday. Environmental risks include potential spills, weather-related conditions, inadequate ventilation, exposure to extreme heat or cold, poor housekeeping, chemical exposure, and slip, trip, and fall hazards. Activity-related hazards may involve working around burn or heat sources, compressed gases, electrical cords and tools, energized equipment, and possible exposure to contagious diseases or other unforeseen risks. Ergonomic hazards are also present, including lifting, awkward postures, repetitive motions, and prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Specific job tasks such as sitting at a workstation for extended periods can lead to back, shoulder, hand, arm injuries, and eye strain, while prolonged standing may result in strains, sprains, and leg or knee injuries. Walking throughout the building introduces the risk of slips, trips, falls, and strains, particularly if walkways are obstructed or wet. Additionally, cleaning up spills can pose hazards such as slips, trips, strains, and potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Overall, employees must remain aware of these hazards to reduce the risk of injury in the workplace.
