- Full-time The BIM Coordinator will work within the BIM department and will report to the BIM department manager.
Salary Range:
$85,000.00- $120,000.
DOE Essential Responsibilities:
Be a technical advisor in the onsite field office. Participate in BIM set-up, standards, and coordination process for projects. Establish early standards for data exchange with project team to optimize use of the BIM for scheduling, quantity take-off, estimating, and other functions during all stages of the project. Participate in technological collaboration between project team members, clients, design team members, builders, consultants, subcontractors, and others. Coordinate and manage model families and initiate coordination efforts using Navisworks Manage. Facilitate the exchange and coordination of the 3D model with consultants, contractors, and fabricators. Run clash detection studies and generate reports for the project team. Assign responsible party workflows and manage these tasks to successful completion. Ensure the construction geometry is error-free and presented in an efficient manner for the crew members. Maintain model libraries throughout the project and create archive record models at completion.Qualifications:
Position Related Skills Advanced knowledge of Autodesk's Navisworks Manage, including Clash Detection, Quantification, and Timeliner tools. Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams), and have a general understanding of working within a computer network. Proficient in project management software (Prolog, Procore, E-Builder), and Bluebeam. Experience with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) methods and digital fabrication. Experience administering and organizing Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), BIM 360, and other file-sharing platforms. Ability to successfully host, run, and document BIM coordination meetings Training in design document reading, design specifications, survey theory, and techniques. Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills. Ability to communicate and present design and/or construction ideas to a variety of audiences. Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations. Excellent time-management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress. Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships. Ability to work closely with a variety of trade and craft people in a field work situation. Patience and professionalism are essential. Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel within and across departments and at all levels of leadership. Work schedule must be flexible to allow extended hours or off-shift work to accommodate changing construction schedule and sequences.Professional Experience and Education:
Four to seven (4-7) years' experience in architectural, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry required. Specific experience in complex commercial projects is required. Experience in the delivery of large, complex projects preferred. High School diploma or GED required. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or related industry preferred.Physical and Mental Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position in an office environment more than 50% of the time, with the occasional requirement to be able to access all areas and levels of the construction site for work progress review. Must be able to access work being done on multiple levels. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. Occasionally uses machinery and other tools to operate, activate, use, prepare, inspect, place, detect, and position materials. Specific vision abilities include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus in an outdoor environment. Must be able to operate a vehicle with a valid driver's license safely. The worker is required to have the ability to perform duties such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; and reading printed and digital documents. Must be able to occasionally work in proximity to loud equipment. Must be able to wear hearing protection as necessary.
