Job Description

Overview The Commissioning Project Manager I oversees a commissioning team delivering multiple concurrent projects by balancing workloads, tracking project deliverables, providing consistent oversite and working with the Cx Director to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule. This role serves as the primary communication hub between owner's, owner's representatives, contractors, engineers, architects, and the ENFRA Team. The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining project documentation, managing budgets and schedules, tracking project risks, and supporting the Cx Director and Business Development team by defining project scopes and developing accurate task and project pricing. Responsibilities
  • Manage overall project execution, verify deliverable accuracy and adherence to project scope.
  • Engage with Commissioning team and project stakeholders to maintain alignment, meet client requirements, and ensure the Cx scope of work is executed in an efficient manner.
  • Oversee project KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and maintain project health.
  • Maintain and keep project budgets updated over the course of the project.
  • Create and manage the project scope tracker, resource calendar, and forecast throughout the duration of the project.
  • Establish and deliver a process for frequent tracking and reporting of project status and execution for communication to the client and to internal/external stakeholders.
  • Verify proposal and project scope is clear, complete, and free of ambiguity for the Cx Team and Business Development (BD) Department.
  • Drive corrective actions when scope or performance gaps are identified.
  • Support the Cx Director and BD by developing Cx Scopes of Work and accurate task and project pricing.
This may include participation in new project interviews and pursuing new opportunities with potential project clients.
  • Oversee project KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and maintain project health.
  • Manage resource utilization across multiple projects to ensure that project financial targets are met.
  • Provide training and mentoring to commissioning team
  • Provide input to the director for development and maintenance of commissioning standards and processes.
  • Provides a leadership role as needed to develop certain Cx tasks.
Such tasks may include:
developing the Owner's Project Requirements (OPR), leading the Cx Design review process, reviewing Commissioning specs and Commissioning plans with an emphasis on the contracted scope of work, oversee the development and execution of functional testing, and owner training.

  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
  • 3+ years of commissioning or related experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automatic temperature control systems, or building operation management experience.
  • Ability to interact professionally with the owner, owners representatives, contractors and design teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry, general knowledge of the Company's competitors.
  • Ability to multitask and identify task and project priorities to ensure timely and accurate completion of work. Preferred Education, Experience, and Qualifications
  • Registered Engineering Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
  • Project Management Certification (PMP, PgMP, etc.)
  • Commissioning Certification (e.g. NEBB, ACG, BCxA, ASHRAE, etc.)
  • Competency with Cloud Based commissioning software platforms.
Travel Requirements 25-40% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location. Physical Activities Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles Climbing stairs. Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers Operating machinery and/or power tools Environmental Conditions Outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind Noisy environment Physical Demands Medium work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds Pay Range USD $88,380.00 - USD $117,970.00 /Yr.
