We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time (40 hours/week) and on-site, for most internships. Our internship program is for students who are actively enrolled in an academic program. Recent graduates seeking employment after graduation and not returning to school should apply for full-time positions, not internships.

As Tesla continues to expand its global footprint, we are seeking a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented individual to support the initial planning, execution, and optimization of new market entry initiatives. The Project Manager Intern will play a critical role in enabling scalable, efficient, and data-driven expansion across new regions—ensuring seamless alignment between strategy, operations, and field implementation. This role requires a blend of project management acumen, data analysis skills, and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive execution and operational readiness in emerging markets. You'll work closely with leadership to define processes, track performance, and support the rollout of Tesla's products and services in new geographies. Review and analyze data related to market readiness, operational setup, and go-to-market timelines using Excel or internal Tesla tools Analyze operational data and performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement in new market deployment Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine operational documents, workflows, and launch checklists for new market entry initiatives Conduct virtual process reviews and time studies to evaluate efficiency and recommend improvements for regional setup, service network development, and customer onboarding Work cross-functionally with teams including operations, logistics, service, sales, regulatory, and supply chain to ensure alignment, resolve integration challenges, and improve collaboration during market launch Support the execution of key expansion programs, including facility readiness planning, staffing models, inventory positioning, and regional team enablement—coordinating remotely across time zones Assist in the planning and execution of regional launch activities, including production ramp-up, supply chain coordination, and mobile service deployment Partner with regional teams to share best practices, lessons learned, and scalable frameworks for future market entries—driving consistency and efficiency across new launches Proficiency in Excel (data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and other MS Suite tools (PowerPoint, Word, Teams) Background in operations, project management, or business analysis (preferred) Ability to prioritize multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced, evolving environments Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, operations, logistics, sales) Strong analytical mindset with a passion for problem-solving and process optimization.
