Job Description:
CMC Partners are currently partnering with a leading heavy civil contractor to appoint an experienced Project Manager to oversee operations across the Sacramento region. This is a senior leadership opportunity within a well-established organization delivering large-scale public works and infrastructure projects. They operate across a broad project portfolio ranging from smaller civil works through to major infrastructure schemes in the $100M-$250M+ range. The Role As Project Manager , you will take ownership of multiple projects, providing strategic oversight and ensuring successful delivery across Water Treatment, Wastewater and civil infrastructure works. You will play a key role in driving performance, developing teams, and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a portfolio of heavy civil construction projects across the region Oversee Project Engineers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure successful execution Drive project delivery in line with schedule, budget, quality, and safety expectations Maintain and strengthen relationships with public agencies and key stakeholders Ensure compliance with public works contracts, regulations, and reporting requirements Support resource planning, forecasting, and operational strategy Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement mindset Requirements Extensive experience in heavy civil construction, ideally in a senior leadership role Strong background delivering public works projects (DOT, municipal, or state-funded) Proven experience within Water Treatment or Wastewater projects Track record of managing multiple projects and leading large teams Strong commercial and contractual understanding Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Featured benefits 401(k) Pension plan Medical insurance Vision insurance Dental insurance Paid maternity leave Child care support Paid paternity leave Commuter benefits
