Job Title:
Project Manager - Restoration Projects Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to oversee restoration projects from initiation through completion. In this role, you ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards while coordinating teams, managing client expectations, and maintaining strict adherence to regulations and safety protocols. Responsibilities Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones to ensure restoration projects are completed on time and within budget. Manage all implementation processes, including resource allocation, task assignments, and project tracking, to drive successful project delivery. Supervise and coordinate field employees, subcontractors, and third-party workers to ensure efficient, high-quality project execution. Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, and provide regular status updates throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, regulations, and established quality standards for restoration projects. Identify potential risks and crises early, and develop contingency plans to address issues that arise during the project. Maintain detailed documentation of project progress, including reports, change orders, and other required records. Monitor and manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure financial efficiency and accountability. Use Xactimate and other estimation tools to support accurate project scoping and cost estimation for restoration work. Ensure strict adherence to on-site safety protocols to protect workers, clients, and property. Coordinate with internal teams, including a coordinating team of approximately 7-8 members, to align project activities and resolve operational challenges. Leverage project management software and Microsoft Office Suite to track progress, communicate updates, and report on key project metrics. Essential Skills Proven experience in project management, preferably within restoration or construction environments. Strong knowledge of restoration processes and best practices. Proficiency with Xactimate for restoration estimating. Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource coordination. Experience in construction and estimation related to restoration projects. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for working with clients, field teams, and stakeholders. Proficiency in project management software and the Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and perform effectively under pressure. Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. Knowledge of local building codes and regulations relevant to restoration and construction work. Commitment to enforcing and following safety protocols on-site. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience overseeing end-to-end restoration projects in a client-facing role. Background in coordinating field employees, subcontractors, and third-party vendors. Ability to develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate project risks. Experience maintaining comprehensive project documentation and reporting. Interest in ongoing professional development and openness to career advancement opportunities. Comfort working in a collaborative, close-knit team environment where continuous improvement and recognition are emphasized. Work Environment This position operates primarily in an office environment, supporting and coordinating restoration projects in the field. You will work closely with a coordinating team of approximately 7-8 professionals in a culture that emphasizes collaboration, hard work, recognition, and professional growth. The organization invests in team members by providing development opportunities and promoting from within whenever possible. The standard schedule is approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with a need for flexibility as the team is currently working extended hours and is seeking candidates who are open to additional hours as needed. The dress code is business casual, reflecting a professional yet approachable atmosphere. You will regularly use project management software, Xactimate, and the Microsoft Office Suite to manage projects, communicate with stakeholders, and track progress. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burbank, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
