Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and highly skilled Director of Project Management to lead our Self-Performing Trades Division. This pivotal role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex construction projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, budget parameters, and schedule commitments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, project coordination, and team leadership, driving projects forward with enthusiasm and precision. As a key leader, you will foster collaboration across departments, implement best practices in project scheduling and cost estimation, and utilize advanced construction management software to optimize project outcomes. Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation for multiple construction projects. Lead a team of Project Managers within our self-performing/trades division Oversee project scheduling using MS Project or similar tools to ensure timely completion aligned with client expectations. Manage contracts, change orders, and procurement processes with clarity and transparency to maintain project integrity. Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project flow. Utilize construction management software for document control, progress tracking, and communication facilitation. Review blueprints, schematics, 3D models, and technical drawings to verify accuracy before construction begins. Monitor on-site activities to ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control protocols, and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in construction estimating, project management methodologies, and site logistics. Facilitate regular project meetings to track progress, resolve issues promptly, and keep all parties aligned on project goals. Lead efforts in project risk assessment and mitigation strategies to prevent delays or cost overruns. Qualifications Proven experience in construction management with a focus on large-scale projects. Extensive knowledge of project scheduling tools. Strong proficiency in construction estimating techniques and contract administration. Familiarity with civil engineering software including 3D for site design coordination. Demonstrated expertise in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical documentation review. Hands-on experience managing construction sites with a focus on safety compliance and quality assurance. Excellent time management skills coupled with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively. Exceptional leadership abilities with a talent for motivating teams and fostering collaboration across disciplines. Knowledge of construction management software for document control and communication.
