401(k) Competitive salary Training & development FedVet Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager with proven success delivering federal construction projects for agencies such as the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) , U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), National Park Service (NPS), Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Project Manager will oversee all phases of construction, renovation, and repair projects, typically up to $20,000,000, ensuring compliance with federal specifications, safety standards, and contract requirements. This role requires strong administrative, leadership, and communication skills to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and government processes while maintaining a focus on safety and quality. The Project Manager will lead a project team that includes the Superintendent, Quality Control Manager (QCM), Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), and Project Coordinators, while serving as the primary point of contact with federal clients. Responsibilities Lead the successful execution of federal construction projects, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and regulations. Serve as the primary point of contact with federal clients including NAVFAC, USACE, NPS, BOR, and VA. Direct and support the project team, including the Superintendent, Quality Control Manager (QCM), Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), and Project Coordinators. Manage project scheduling, ensuring milestones are met and projects stay on track. Develop and oversee project budgets, maintaining cost control and financial accountability. Allocate resources effectively, including labor, equipment, and materials. Procure materials and services in compliance with federal requirements. Direct subcontractor activities, ensuring performance, compliance, and quality. Ensure project safety and compliance with all federal safety regulations, fostering a safety-first culture. Oversee quality control processes and facilitate inspections and certifications as required. Provide regular updates to clients and stakeholders, addressing issues proactively. Utilize Microsoft 365 for documentation, reporting, and communication. Utilize Procore for project management workflows and subcontractor coordination. Utilize USACE Resident Management System (RMS) for USACE projects. Requirements Minimum 5 years' experience as a Construction Project Manager in federal contracting, with direct experience delivering projects for agencies such as NAVFAC, USACE, NPS, BOR, and VA. Proven experience leading and managing project teams, including Superintendent, QCM, SSHO, and Project Coordinators. Demonstrated expertise in civil construction and tenant improvements. In-depth understanding of federal construction processes, standards, and specifications. Proficiency in Microsoft 365. Proficiency in Procore for project management. Proficiency inUSACE RMS
for USACE projects. Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Valid California Driver's License and ability to operate a company vehicle. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Construction Project Management Professional (CPMP) certification or equivalent. OSHA 30-Hour Certification or equivalent. Familiarity with LEED or sustainability initiatives.
