Position overview:
This is an onsite position at a large construction jobsite located in Elk Grove, CA. As a key member of our team, you will manage all jobsite material and equipment deliveries, ensuring accurate receiving, tracking, and documentation of shipments. This role serves as a critical link between field operations, vendors, subcontractors, and the project team to ensure materials are received, documented, and distributed efficiently. You will also provide onsite administrative and operational support, coordinate project stakeholders, manage critical construction documentation, and assist with the efficient execution of work across all phases of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable, and an effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key responsibilities:
Participate in the coordination of construction activities, under the supervision of the field foremen and the operations team Provide onsite administrative support to the field foremen Coordinate with the accounting team to assist with monthly progress billings Take delivery of onsite materials and oversee tax exemption paperwork Assist in maintaining project schedules to ensure milestones and deadlines are achieved Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with all project team members Prepare, track, and distribute project documentation Maintain accuracy of electronic construction project files Qualifications and experience: Minimum of one year of construction experience or equivalent education Basic understanding of HVAC systems Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications preferred Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu is a plus Working knowledge of estimating methods is an asset
Job Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
Salary:
Based on skills and experience. The starting pay range is $28-$30 per hour. This position is non-exempt.
