With over 35 years of experience in the industry, RK Electric is a premier electrical contractor specializing in commercial builds and offers design, installation, and turnkey services for electrical, lighting, and data/communications projects. We are seeking a driven individual to fill the role of Data Project Manager, responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will be adept at coordinating project activities, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities
  • Implement standardized procedures and methodologies for project planning and execution, encompassing initiation, planning, estimation, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop comprehensive project plans, including work breakdown structures, cost estimates, milestone schedules, and risk management strategies.
  • Establish project governance frameworks, including organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, and communication protocols.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, conveying project objectives, designs, and operational solutions effectively.
  • Conduct regular client reviews to address project scope, schedules, issues, risks, and expectations.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Oversee project installation activities and manage project controls, including monitoring progress, resolving conflicts, and ensuring quality assurance.
  • Provide timely updates on project status to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Forecast and track project revenue and profitability.
  • Lead and manage project teams effectively to achieve project objectives. Requirements Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in project management, engineering, IT, business a plus, or equivalent relevant experience required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification by BICSI preferred, but relevant experience will be considered. Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leading large-scale multi-year construction projects.
  • Experience in managing manufacturing, office, and data center construction projects.
  • Proven ability to manage projects involving multiple personnel. Other Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Procore is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including financial management, invoicing, status reporting, risk management, and communication management.
  • Excellent client relationship and team management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and drive motivation.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and manage change effectively.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and other project portfolio management tools. Competencies
