Job Description

We are seeking a Project Manager (PM) to lead and coordinate the execution of an existing government logistics contract. The successful candidate will oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, on-time delivery, and within budget. The ideal candidate has experience managing federal contracts, understands government procurement processes, and possesses excellent communication and leadership skills. The PM will coordinate various teams, set goals, and evaluate the success of each project, ensuring all tasks are aligned with agency and contractual objectives.
Responsibilities Project Planning & Execution:
Develop project plans, schedules, and deliverables to meet contract objectives and business goals.
Initiate Projects:
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
Resource Management:
Allocate personnel, budget, and resources effectively to support project delivery.
Stakeholder Coordination:
Act as the main liaison between government agencies, contractors, and internal project teams.
Team & Operations Management:
Coordinate and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects across cross-functional teams.
Procurement Oversight:
Oversee procurement of materials and equipment in compliance with government regulations.
Performance Monitoring:
Track project progress, ensure milestones are met, and make schedule or resource adjustments as needed.
Risk & Compliance Management:
Identify project risks and ensure adherence to federal laws, agency policies, and contractual requirements.
Status Reporting:
Prepare and present regular project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing key data and trends.
Change Management:
Implement and manage project changes to ensure alignment with goals and compliance.
Post-Project Evaluation:
Conduct post-project reviews to assess success and identify opportunities for improvement.
Logistics:
An understanding of Department of War Logistics requirements. Qualifications 5+ years of experience with government contracts and/or complex project involving Army Logistics. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Deep understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS) and government contract compliance. Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.). Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience with CPARS.
Desired Qualification:
Experience working with government contracting with Army Contracting Command Active Secret clearance. Former Contracting Officer Representatives (COR), or Contracting Officer (KO) Knowledge of budgeting, procurement processes, and federal reporting standards. PMP certification PM Excellence certification or equivalent Bachelor's degree in business, Management, Engineering, Logistics or a related field. Job
