Job Description:
Education/DSA Project Manager - LA/OC Goodall Brazier are retained by a 100% employee owned education builder with over 50+ years in the market to find an experienced project manager to join their Los Angeles or Orange County office. Context You will be joining a high performing education division with a strong reputation throughout California for delivering complex K 12 and higher education projects. The firm has built a collaborative, people first culture and offers long term stability, genuine career progression, and the benefits of employee ownership through its ESOP program. Their portfolio includes projects ranging from $30M to $250M. The Role The Project Manager will lead the delivery of K-12 and education construction projects across Southern California, including modernizations, ground up campuses, seismic upgrades, additions, and occupied campus work. This role will take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout, managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, client relationships, and DSA requirements while working closely with school districts, design teams, inspectors, and field teams to ensure successful project delivery. Requirements
  • Experience as a Project Manager with a general contractor or construction management firm
  • Strong background delivering education construction projects in California
  • Experience working with local school districts, owners, design teams, inspectors, subcontractors, and field teams
  • Strong understanding of DSA approvals, inspections, documentation, compliance, and closeout
  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project closeout
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills
