Job Description:
A well-established General Contractor is seeking an experienced Lead Project Manager to oversee large-scale Light Industrial and Tilt-Up construction projects throughout the Long Beach and greater Southern California market. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction professional with a strong background managing ground-up warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, and industrial projects up to $40M in value from preconstruction through closeout.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple light industrial and tilt-up construction projects simultaneously Lead project teams including Project Engineers, APMs, Superintendents, subcontractors, and consultants Oversee budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor buyout, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reporting Maintain strong communication with ownership, architects, and field operations Drive project schedules and ensure quality, safety, and profitability goals are achieved Participate in preconstruction planning, value engineering, and project logistics Mentor and support junior project management staff
Qualifications:
7+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction Strong background in Light Industrial and Tilt-Up construction required Experience managing ground-up warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or logistics projects Ability to lead projects from inception through completion Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and cost control Excellent leadership and communication skills Proficient with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and construction management software
