50% in office, 50% in the field
Contract:
8 month contract, high probability of extension
Pay:
$75-$100/hr Required Skills & Experience 7-10+ years of project management experience within utilities, energy, or infrastructure Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and cost controls Experience overseeing multiple workstreams or projects simultaneously Strong understanding of project lifecycle, planning, and execution frameworks Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate field + office teams Ability to ramp quickly and operate independently with minimal oversight Nice to Have Skills & Experience Background in hydroelectric generation or power generation projects Experience with project controls, construction management, or asset management programs Familiarity with tools such as Primavera (P6), MS Project, SAP, or similar cost/schedule systems Job Description An employer in Auburn, CA is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to join their team. This person will be expected to: Manage multiple concurrent projects across power generation / hydro environments Own and drive project execution across scope, schedule, budget, and cost controls Develop, maintain, and improve project schedules, forecasts, and cost tracking frameworks Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, field teams, asset management, etc.) to ensure alignment and delivery Support project planning for future initiatives, including outlining scope, timelines, and resource needs Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to project governance standards Provide consistent status reporting, financial tracking, and executive-level updates Operate effectively in both field (up to 50%) and office/remote environments
