Job Description
Role Overview We are seeking an experienced PLM Project Manager to lead the end-to-end planning and execution of a large-scale data migration from FlexPLM to a homegrown PLM application. This role will be responsible for driving project governance, ensuring data integrity, and managing cross-functional collaboration to enable a seamless transition with minimal business disruption. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership & Delivery Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of the PLM migration program. Define project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, and success metrics. Establish and drive project governance, reporting cadences, and escalation mechanisms. Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful delivery. Data Migration & System Transition Oversee migration of product data including BOMs, materials, specifications, and workflows from FlexPLM to the new system. Define and implement data migration approach including data mapping, transformation, and validation. Ensure data quality, integrity, reconciliation, and auditability throughout the migration lifecycle. Stakeholder Management Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including Design, Sourcing, Merchandising, and IT teams. Align priorities across leadership, business users, and technical teams. Provide regular updates and ensure transparency on progress, risks, and dependencies. Risk & Issue Management Identify and proactively manage risks related to data loss, business disruption, and system dependencies. Develop mitigation and contingency plans, including rollback strategies. Resolve issues efficiently to minimize impact on timelines and deliverables. Change Management & User Adoption Drive comprehensive change management initiatives including communication planning and stakeholder engagement. Lead user training programs and support transition to the new PLM system. Ensure business readiness and adoption post-migration. Cutover & Go-Live Management Define and execute cutover strategy (phased or big-bang approach). Plan and manage system shutdown activities, including: o Data freeze o Final reconciliation o Access revocation Ensure smooth go-live and post-implementation stabilization. Required Skills & Experience 8-12+ years of experience in project/program management.
