- Full-time Senior Project Manager, Commercial Electrical What's Awesome About Our Client?
They do real work:
life science labs, pharmaceutical facilities, tech, and commercial build-outs.Three business divisions working together:
commercial electrical construction, a growing service and maintenance arm, and a high-volume dedicated facility account. The infrastructure to scale is already in place. No bureaucracy. No approval layers. The person who runs this role has real autonomy to manage their projects and represent the company. You won't be waiting on five departments to make a call. A tight, tenured office team where most people worked their way up. Superintendent, senior estimator, project assistant, and PE are all in place to support you. You're not doing this alone. The owner genuinely wants someone who can grow with the company, not just fill a seat. This market has room to scale, and the right hire will be part of how that happens. Why This Job — Senior Project Manager Most PM jobs at an electrical contractor look the same on paper. This one is different because of what it actually is: the chance to step into the role the owner has been doing himself. The projects are real, the clients are repeat, and the work is interesting. Life science and pharmaceutical construction is a specialty market, and this team has carved out a strong position in it. You will manage a portfolio of 3-5 commercial electrical projects at a time, ranging from roughly $500K to $10M and up to a year in duration. You will own the contract, the money, and the client relationship on every job. The Superintendent handles field operations and foreman oversight so you can stay focused on what actually moves the needle: scope management, change order pricing, client communication, and keeping the financials clean. Longer term, this company has real growth ambitions. The owner is direct about it: the only thing holding them back from being a much bigger contractor is having the right people. If you are someone who wants to grow into a leadership role as headcount and revenue scale, this is the place to do it. If you want to do good work, be trusted, and not be micromanaged, that is exactly what this job offers. What You'll Actually Do:
Own a portfolio of 3-5 commercial electrical projects from bid handoff through final acceptance, managing scope, schedule, and contract financials Serve as the primary point of contact for general contractors and owner PMs on your projects, including job site meetings and change event response Price and manage change orders using AccuBid/Change Order Pro, working with the PE and estimating team on anything larger Direct the Project Assistant on billing and purchase orders to keep cash flow and job costs accurate in Spectrum Coordinate with the Superintendent on field support and foreman needs, without stepping into the means-and-methods lane that is his domain Participate in preconstruction activities for repeat clients, including occasional budgets and scope walks Help document and tighten up processes that are functional but not yet fully written down Bring your prior client and GC relationships to the table where possible, and represent the company in a way that builds more of themWhat You Bring:
5-10 years of experience as a Senior PM or Project Executive at an electrical contractor, managing commercial or industrial projects in the $1M- 10M range Background at an electrical contractor is strongly preferred.
