Project Managers are expected to independently lead projects. The project manager's job is to make sure the job is done correctly and efficiently from start to finish. Communicate with the customer on site. Confirm the details of the work with the customer. Know what is included in the scope and what is not. If/when there are scope additions due to new discoveries or customer additions, get written customer approval before proceeding. Make sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time. Supervise & manage the crew efficiently. Observe, teach, train, correct, hold accountable, deliver both praise and discipline. Prevent mistakes from happening. If there are issues with the work, the Project Manager is the first one to know. Management is the 2nd to know. Project Manager is prepared with a solution when they bring the issue to the customer's attention. . Minimum Requirements
- 5 years' experience working with home repair and construction. Experience in multiple disciplines is required (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, etc.).
- 3 years' experience independently leading construction projects from planning & estimating to execution and documenting.
- 3 years' experience and training in management, supervision, coaching & training of others.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. College education (vocational school, business school, trades school, etc.) preferred.
- A valid California Driver's License, and current, and up to date, automobile insurance
- Reliable transportation & tools, including but not limited to basic hand tools, basic power tools, and basic painting, drywall, plumbing, and electrical supplies. The Basic Handyman Tool Kit is outlined below. These tools & materials must be with you at all times. Compensation

- 65 We value paying our team fairly and aim to develop a long term partnership with our technicians. As such, we do our best to offer competitive pay. Project manager pay starts at $45 with the potential to earn up to $65 based on performance. Performance is measured by successful on-time project completion and effective crew management & improvement.

- Paid Time Off ○ 1 week sick, 1 week vacation Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and perform various home repair/improvement tasks including but not limited to mounting TVs, replacing faucets, installing and/or repairing lights and plumbing fixtures, basic appliance installation, service, & repair, drywall patching, painting, repair of exterior home fixtures and systems such as irrigation, fencing and decks, and other household projects at the request of clients.
- Plan, manage and perform home improvement projects such as remodels, deck and retaining wall construction, flooring, tile, and drywall installation, painting tasks, cabinets, etc.
- Perform basic repairs on household appliances such as diagnosing and repairing dishwasher & washing machine leaks, repairing garbage disposals, replacing heater filters & checking pilot lights, etc.
- Track business related expenses and submit receipts in a timely manner, as required for client billing. Track job notes & details and submit before, during, & after photos of the work performed.
- Train and mentor our Home Repair Technicians on trade skills, professionalism, time management, project documentation, communication, team work, self care, safety, etc.
- Arrive at the job site first, greet the client in a friendly professional manner, and review the scope & materials details for accuracy with the client during the walkthrough.
- Plan and execute projects efficiently including materials acquisition & delivery, managing our Home Repair Technicians in the safe and efficient execution of the projects, and ensuring all work is done to a high standard.
- Coach, train, & support the Home Repair Technician team through daily real time feedback and quarterly performance reviews.
- Ensure that job sites are kept clean, safe, and undamaged.
- Document all necessary project information in the company app and via text & email to the admin team.
- Perform site assessment visits for new customers/new work to assess the job, take photos, measurements, and detailed notes, and make an initial labor estimate & materials list for our estimating team to convert into a contract for the customer.

- Strong ability to follow and interpret directions, and to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with a strong ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
- Strong proficiency and ability to conduct repair and construction tasks such as, but not limited to, carpentry, painting, caulking, spackling, wood filling, sanding, general painting prep, fence & gate repair
- Strong proficiency with plumbing diagnosis/repair, plumbing fixture installation (sinks, faucets, toilets)
- Strong proficiency with electrical diagnosis/repair & fixture installation (lights, ceiling fans, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of interior & exterior door & window installation and repair.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of construction tools and power equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 51lbs on occasion, and to lift up to 40lbs frequently, throughout the workday.
We do set posts fairly regularly and a bag of concrete typically weighs 50 lbs. Ability to team lift heavier items occasionally.
