Professional Engineer Full Job Description Overview:
Kimley-Horn's Oakland office is seeking a Project Manager/Roadway Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join their Roadway team! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities:
As an experienced Roadway Engineer on our Roadway team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and execution of municipal roadway projects. Your role will encompass client interactions, project team leadership, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage municipal roadway projects from inception through completion. Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and teams to ensure project requirements are met. Supervise and mentor project team members, providing guidance and support. Ensure compliance with all applicable standards, regulations, and best practices. Prepare and manage project documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality. Manage project financials and resources effectively. Foster positive relationships with existing and prospective clients. Communicate project status, issues, and solutions effectively to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California. Minimum of 8 years of experience in roadway design and project management, with a focus on municipal projects. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects. Strong knowledge of municipal engineering standards and practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build rapport with clients. Proficient in relevant software and technology for roadway design and project management. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Salary Range:
$140,000
