Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for a contract opportunity in Oakland, CA, supporting complex project and program initiatives within the government and public sector. This management-level role is ideal for a seasoned project leader who can oversee full project lifecycles, manage budgets and schedules, supervise staff and consultants, and ensure high-quality delivery in a regulated public agency environment. The Senior Project Manager will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering high-impact projects that require strong leadership, stakeholder communication, contract administration, and operational oversight. This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to meaningful public-sector work while collaborating with professional teams, technical staff, vendors, contractors, and internal departments in a structured and mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, supervise, and oversee daily project functions, operations, staff, consultants, contractors, and related project activities.
  • Manage assigned projects through the full lifecycle, including scope, schedule, budget, quality standards, risks, deliverables, and completion milestones.
  • Develop project timelines, budgets, staffing plans, cost estimates, status reports, Statements of Work, and other project documentation.
  • Administer and support RFPs, RFQs, IFBs, professional services agreements, architectural and engineering services, construction contracts, and contract amendments.
  • Monitor project compliance with applicable codes, ordinances, regulations, contractual requirements, and internal policies.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders, grants management, grants accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to resolve issues and support successful project delivery. Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay range: $65.00 to $80.00 per hour.
