We partner with general contractors across Southern California on ground-up construction, multi-floor build-outs, and phased tenant improvements, with a deep specialization in healthcare. We're driven by expertise, timeliness, and collaborative partnership. The Role We're hiring an Assistant Project Manager to learn the business of commercial plumbing and grow into a Project Manager role

From day one, you'll be pricing real work, building relationships with general contractors and vendors, and supporting active projects alongside a senior PM. If your goal is to become a PM and you're willing to put in the work to get there, this is the right seat. Why This Role At Regency Plumbing, our Project Managers are responsible for both winning work and running it
  • and we train our APMs the same way.
You'll start with a heavy focus on pre-construction, learning the trade by pricing it. You'll prepare bids alongside a PM who reviews and refines your work, build relationships with general contractors and vendors, and develop the commercial judgment that defines a strong PM. Alongside the bidding work, you'll support active projects, gaining execution experience that prepares you to manage your own projects down the road. We've built this role intentionally
  • it's the path we use to develop our PMs, and we invest in the people who take it seriously. Our APMs typically progress to Project Manager within a few years of joining, with a long runway beyond that as they take on larger projects and more responsibility. What You'll Do Estimating, Pre-Construction & Business Development (roughly 65% of the role) Prepare assigned bids under PM oversight
  • perform plumbing takeoffs in Bluebeam, solicit vendor pricing, develop labor estimates, and assemble complete bid proposals with scope inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications for PM review prior to submission Support business development through pre-bid RFIs, job walks, GC follow-up, and ongoing relationship-building with general contractors, developers, and design teams Project Support (roughly 35% of the role) Prepare and process submittals to GCs and design teams; assist with RFIs as needed to clarify scope and resolve field questions Lock in long-lead material pricing, issue purchase orders, and prepare change order pricing and backup documentation for PM review Serve as a point of contact with GCs and vendors on submittal status, material commitments, and change order documentation Procure PPE and project-specific safety supplies as needed to support field crews What You Bring 2-5 years of experience in commercial construction, plumbing, or a related trade•APM, Project Engineer, estimating, or field-to-office transitions all welcome Working knowledge of Bluebeam (takeoffs, markups) and Procore or similar PM software Solid understanding of plan reading and commercial construction sequencing Strong organizational skills•you can juggle multiple bids and projects without dropping the ball Clear communicator who can hold their own with GCs, vendors, and field crews Ambition to grow into a Project Manager role Valid driver's license Nice to Have Background in the plumbing trade (apprenticeship, journeyman, field experience) Prior estimating exposure on commercial mechanical or plumbing projects Experience with healthcare, medical gas, or
