Job Description

ResponsibilitiesPerform on-site land surveys using modern instruments and technologies to precisely capture boundary lines, terrain details, and geospatial data.

Review and interpret field data, historical maps, and legal documentation to establish accurate property boundaries and identify any inconsistencies.

Work closely with engineers, architects, and project teams to deliver reliable survey data that supports infrastructure and development initiatives.

Apply GPS, GIS, and specialized surveying software to efficiently process and manage spatial data.

Create comprehensive survey documentation, including maps, reports, and legal descriptions for clients, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.

Investigate property records, historical documents, and land titles to collect critical information for survey planning and execution.

Adhere to industry standards, legal requirements, and safety guidelines throughout all phases of surveying and data analysis.

Serve as an expert witness in legal matters involving land disputes, providing professional insights and validated survey evidence.

Keep current with emerging technologies and methodologies in the surveying field to continually improve accuracy and efficiency.

Demonstrate expertise in the Subdivision Map Act, including the preparation of Final Maps, Lot Line Adjustments, and Condominium Maps.

Ensure all surveying equipment is properly maintained and calibrated for optimal performance.

Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders to clearly convey survey results and project updates.

QualificationsOver 12 years of experience as a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Skilled in managing multiple concurrent projects with efficiency and attention to detail.
