Job Description

Fire Sprinkler Project Manager Assistant — Entry Level Overview Are you looking to start a career in the fire protection industry? Join our team as an entry-level Fire Sprinkler Project Manager Assistant, where you'll learn the ins and outs of fire sprinkler project management from the ground up. You'll work alongside experienced project managers, designers, and field crews who will train you on everything from reading plans to coordinating installations. No prior fire sprinkler experience is required — just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and attention to detail. This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in a stable, in-demand trade that protects lives and property. What You'll Do Assist project managers with day-to-day tasks like scheduling, ordering materials, and tracking deliveries. Help organize and file project paperwork, including submittals, permits, RFIs, change orders, and inspection reports. Learn to read fire sprinkler shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, and architectural plans with guidance from senior team members. Communicate with field foremen, general contractors, vendors, and inspectors to keep projects on track. Help schedule inspections with the fire marshal and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). Assist with jobsite visits to observe installation progress and learn how systems come together in the field. Track labor hours, material costs, and project expenses to support billing and budgeting. Learn NFPA standards (13, 13R, 13D, 24, 25) and local fire codes through on-the-job training. Take on additional responsibilities as your skills and confidence grow. What We're Looking For A positive attitude and eagerness to learn the fire sprinkler trade — no prior experience required. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Comfortable working with computers and willing to learn industry software like Bluebeam, Procore, and Building Connected. Reliable, punctual, and able to manage time across multiple tasks. Basic math skills and the ability to read or learn to read construction drawings. High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license for occasional jobsite visits. What We Offer Paid on-the-job training with mentorship from experienced project managers. Clear path for career growth into a full Project Manager role. A collaborative team that values your development and wants to see you succeed. If you're motivated, dependable, and ready to learn a skilled trade with real career potential, we'd love to hear from you.
