Custom Lighting & Architectural Manufacturing About Sapphire Manufacturing Sapphire Manufacturing is a custom lighting and architectural fabrication company based in Placentia, California , creating one-of-a-kind fixtures and solutions for hospitality, commercial, gaming, and high-design environments worldwide. From initial concept through final delivery, our in-house engineering, fabrication, and project teams collaborate closely to deliver high-quality custom solutions. We leverage a combination of domestic manufacturing resources, advanced 3D modeling, modern machinery, and exceptional craftsmanship to ensure precise execution and consistent quality. Position Overview We are seeking an Engineering graduate to join our team as a Project Coordinator . This role is ideal for an early-career engineer who wants to apply their technical knowledge while developing project management and coordination skills in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The Project Coordinator will support the successful execution of custom lighting projects from engineering handoff through production and delivery. This position works closely with engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. Key Responsibilities Support the coordination of custom lighting projects from design approval through manufacturing and delivery Apply engineering fundamentals to review designs for manufacturability, fit, function, and assembly Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and bills of materials Work with engineering and production teams to address technical or fabrication challenges Assist with project scheduling, tracking milestones, and monitoring deliverables Coordinate communication between engineering, production, sales, and clients Track project updates, changes, and documentation Support quality control efforts to ensure products meet performance and design requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field preferred) Strong understanding of design fundamentals and manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is a plus, but not required Interest in lighting, architectural products, or custom manufacturing preferred What We Offer A role that blends engineering problem-solving with project coordination Hands-on exposure to custom product design and manufacturing Mentorship and career growth into Project Manager or Engineering leadership roles Collaborative, design-driven work environment Competitive salary and benefits Opportunity to work on unique architectural and lighting projectsPay:
