Payrate:
$43/ - $49/hr on w2
Duration:
05/27/2026 to 11/26/2027 Contract Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Controls / Cost Analyst to support electrical substation projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, reporting, and change management while working closely with Project Managers and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain project budgets, baselines, expenditure plans, and short/long-term forecasts for electrical substation projects. Prepare routine and complex financial and cost management reports. Monitor project costs including budgets, actuals, commitments, and forecasts. Support Project Managers and business partners with detailed cost analysis and reporting. Review and report cost overages or underruns against approved budgets and forecasts. Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for changes related to: Project scope Materials Schedule impacts Update change management tools based on impact assessments. Manage and oversee large, long-range, or multiple complex projects. Develop project scope, schedules, resource plans, communication plans, and work assignments to meet project objectives. Required Qualifications Bachelor s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline. Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. 3 5 years of project management, cost controls, budgeting, or financial reporting experience. Strong forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with:
Power BI Microsoft 365 Applications Outlook PowerPoint SharePoint Word Excellent analytical, reporting, and organizational skills. Preferred Qualifications Project Management certification preferred. Prior utility industry or construction management experience. Experience in cost controls for electrical substation or infrastructure projects.
