Job Description:
Responsibilities:
Lead all aspects of project execution for commercial building projects from preconstruction through final turnover. Oversee contract administration, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and quality assurance. Establish and maintain project-specific safety protocols and promote a proactive jobsite safety culture. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, and trade partners to ensure successful delivery. Track progress against milestones and provide regular updates on schedule, budget, risk, and overall performance. Review and negotiate subcontract agreements, purchase commitments, change orders, and payment applications. Identify opportunities to improve constructability, reduce costs, and enhance schedule efficiency. Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. Direct project closeout activities, including commissioning, turnover, and warranty documentation. Anticipate potential issues and implement strategies to mitigate risks and maintain project objectives. Integrated Project Delivery / Design Coordination (as applicable): Collaborate with design teams throughout the development process to support coordination and constructability. Monitor design deliverables for completeness, schedule adherence, and alignment with project goals. Support quality management efforts through reviews and periodic audits. Communicate key decisions, challenges, and opportunities to stakeholders in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical field; equivalent experience will also be considered. 7+ years of experience managing ground-up or major renovation projects in commercial construction. Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring junior staff. Strong understanding of contracts, building systems, construction methods, codes, and industry best practices. Experience managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractor performance, and client relationships. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to proactively identify risks and drive practical solutions. Proficiency with common project management, scheduling, and office software platforms. Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational excellence.
Compensation:
Base salary typically ranges from $150,000 to $185,000 , with final compensation determined by project experience, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities.
