Director of Architecture

Director of Architecture Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Architecture to lead our architectural team and oversee the design, planning, and execution of complex projects from concept through construction. This role combines strategic leadership, client management, technical expertise, and operational oversight to ensure exceptional project delivery and design excellence. The ideal candidate is a licensed architect with strong leadership capabilities, deep technical knowledge, and a proven track record managing multidisciplinary teams and high-profile projects. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, and develop architecture and design teams across multiple projects. Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture. Establish project staffing plans, workflows, and quality standards. Support professional development initiatives. Project Oversight Direct architectural projects through all phases including schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, and construction administration. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations. Review project documentation for design quality, technical accuracy, and code compliance. Manage project risk, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Technical & Strategic Leadership Maintain expertise in building codes, sustainability practices, and emerging technologies. Guide design innovation and implementation of best practices. Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Support long-term strategic planning and operational improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. Licensed Architect required (NCARB certification preferred). 5+ years of architectural experience, including leadership or management responsibilities. Strong portfolio demonstrating successful project delivery across multiple project types. Proficiency with industry software such as Revit, Auto

CAD, BIM

platforms, and Adobe Creative Suite. Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, construction methods, and permitting processes. Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in commercial, restaurant and retail projects Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams. LEED accreditation or sustainability-focused project experience. Experience with healthcare, multifamily, commercial, hospitality, education, or mixed-use projects. Strong financial and operational management experience. $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
