Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee and manage commercial and multifamily solar construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in solar operations, project execution, client management, budgeting, scheduling, and field coordination with a proven ability to manage multiple high-value projects simultaneously. This role will work closely with Operations, Estimating, Procurement, Field Teams, Subcontractors, and Clients to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements. Duties Manage commercial and multifamily solar projects from project kickoff through completion and closeout. Oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, procurement timelines, and overall execution. Coordinate with internal departments including Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, Payroll, HR, and Field Leadership. Review project scope, contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders. Monitor project costs, labor productivity, material usage, and profitability. Lead project meetings with clients, subcontractors, AHJs, utilities, and internal teams. Track project milestones, risks, delays, and implement corrective actions when needed. Ensure compliance with safety requirements, quality standards, company SOPs, and regulatory requirements. Manage RFI processes, submittals, permitting support, inspections, and project documentation. Support forecasting, reporting, KPI tracking, and executive updates. Coordinate project closeout documentation including punch lists, warranties, turnover packages, and final reporting. Oversee subcontractor performance and maintain accountability for project deliverables. Support operational improvements and process standardization across commercial and multifamily divisions. Requirements Minimum 5+ years of project management experience within the solar industry. Minimum 3+ years managing commercial and/or multifamily solar projects . Strong understanding of solar construction processes, installations, and project lifecycle management. Experience managing multiple active projects simultaneously. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and cost controls. Experience with AHJ coordination, utility interconnection, permitting, and inspections. Familiarity with prevailing wage projects, certified payroll, public works, and compliance requirements preferred. Experience working with subcontractors and cross-functional teams. Proficiency with project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting systems. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel to project sites as required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
