Up to $160,000 (depending on experience)

Summary:

An established utility construction contractor is seeking a Project Manager to support major infrastructure projects based out of the Sacramento area . This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful work across large-scale substation and underground transmission projects with a strong, stable backlog. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on substation experience (not just general T&D) along with expertise in underground (UG) systems and 115kV+ projects . You'll play a key role in driving project success from planning through execution while collaborating closely with field teams and clients. The Project Manager will be responsible for:

• Overseeing safety, quality, and project performance
• Planning, budgeting, and executing substation projects
• Managing EPC substation scopes (including UG components)
• Coordinating subcontractors, procurement, and materials
• Handling documentation, submittals, and client communication
• Monitoring schedules, costs, risks, and profitability

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of substation project management experience
• Strong experience with UG systems and 115kV+ substations
• Experience managing utility or EPC substation projects
• Proficiency in MS Office; scheduling tools a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel as needed
