Job Overview Nexiya is seeking a highly organized and proactive Project Coordinator to support our client, a major utility company, at their Kearny Mesa location. This role serves as a key liaison between multiple internal departments, helping coordinate scheduling activities, issue and track work orders, and support pre-construction operations. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a team player, and a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving problems. This position requires frequent interaction with internal stakeholders, project managers, planners, customers, and field personnel to ensure work is properly scheduled and executed. Client Submission Deadline:
Wednesday, June 10 at 5:00 PM Roles and Responsibilities Coordinate scheduling activities between the Pre-Construction Department and various internal stakeholder groups. Create, issue, track, and maintain job orders within SAP system. Support project workflow management by ensuring jobs are accurately scheduled and processed. Communicate with customers, project managers, planners, and internal departments regarding project status and scheduling requirements. Interpret construction sketches and basic electrical metering information to support project coordination efforts. Maintain project logs, scheduling records, and tracking documentation. Generate reports, analyze project information, and maintain data accuracy using Microsoft Excel. Assist with project documentation, status reporting, presentations, and meeting coordination. Update project plans and maintain project-related records. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify scheduling conflicts and resolve issues proactively. Troubleshoot workflow challenges and support continuous process improvements. Provide exceptional customer service and follow-up to internal and external stakeholders. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, construction support, utility operations, scheduling, or related administrative/project support roles. Construction industry experience is strongly preferred. Previous utility industry experience is highly desirable. Experience working with SAP, particularly Production and/or Finance modules, is preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction sketches, drawings, or utility-related documentation is preferred. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and stakeholder management abilities. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while also operating independently. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to issue resolution. Ability to quickly learn new systems and software applications. Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working with minimal supervision. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must be able to successfully pass Nexiya's background screening process.
