Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a minimum of five years of project management experience in the construction industry (Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Protection & HVAC ). In this dynamic role, you will oversee complex mechanical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Your expertise in construction management, project scheduling, and technical coordination will drive project success while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with client stakeholders and contractors, and deliver innovative mechanical solutions that meet project specifications and client expectations. Responsibilities Lead the planning, execution, and closing of mechanical construction projects, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Manage detailed project schedules to coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle. Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless communication and project coordination. Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to verify technical accuracy and scope alignment. Manage procurement processes including construction estimating, HeavyBid analysis, and subcontractor negotiations to optimize cost-efficiency. Oversee site activities on construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures. Utilize tools such as Unifier and Bluebeam for daily reporting, document control, RFIs (Requests for Information), and change order management. Monitor project progress through regular site visits and schedule updates; proactively address potential delays or issues. Ensure accurate contract administration by reviewing terms related to scope changes or claims; maintain comprehensive project documentation. Drive team performance by providing leadership in project management practices, time management techniques, and schematic review processes. Requirements Minimum of five years of proven experience managing mechanical construction projects within a heavy civil or industrial environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders including clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams effectively. Knowledge of contracts administration and construction law principles related to mechanical projects. Skilled in using construction management software like ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation and communication purposes. Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management; ability to prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines. Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites coupled with practical site experience .
