Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale water treatment plant construction projects based out of San Jose, CA . This role is ideal for a construction professional looking to grow their project management career while working on critical water infrastructure projects throughout California. Key Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing water treatment plant construction projects Support day-to-day project operations, including scheduling, cost tracking, document control, and reporting Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owners Review submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Assist with site meetings, progress meetings, and safety meetings Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, safety standards, and schedules Support project closeout activities, including punch lists and documentation Qualifications 3+ years of experience working on water treatment plant construction projects Prior experience on projects located in California is strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Strong understanding of construction means and methods for water and wastewater treatment facilities Familiarity with project scheduling, cost controls, and construction documentation processes Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with project management or scheduling software is a plus Ability to work on-site in the San Jose area and travel to project sites as required Job Alerts Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Senior Civil Engineer
