Job Description

Job Title:
MEP Project ManagerJob Description Manage multiple commercial and/or industrial process projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control. Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships through proactive communication and effective problem-solving. Responsibilities + Translate project scope, schedules, and technical requirements into clear direction for field leadership and subcontractors. + Develop and manage project financials, including scopes of work, schedules of values, labor budgets, productivity KPIs, and cost tracking. + Coordinate procurement and equipment planning to align materials, labor, and schedules. + Participate in monthly financial forecasting and project reviews, identifying risks and opportunities early. + Support and mentor project engineers and project staff, fostering accountability and team development. + Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical, schedule, or cost challenges as they arise. + Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory obligations. + Uphold safety and quality standards on every project and jobsite. Essential Skills + Minimum 4-5 years of experience in project management, HVAC, piping design, plumbing, and budgeting. + Hands-on engineering experience. + Technical knowledge of HVAC sheet metal, hydronic piping, refrigerant piping, and equipment. + BS in Engineering or Construction Management, or relevant experience. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project/accounting software is a plus. + Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. + Proven leadership abilities. + Strong client relations skills. + Ability to work in remote field offices. + Ability to manage multiple projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with large infrastructure projects is a plus. + Experience in commercial construction. + Proficiency in Microsoft Project. + Proficiency in Autodesk. + Familiarity with Coins ERP - Emcor. Work Environment The position is onsite in San Jose. The role involves working closely with project teams and requires the ability to operate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The work environment offers an opportunity to engage in a wide variety of projects, with recent bids accepted, ensuring plenty of work ahead. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Benefits Comprehensive health coverage (medical, dental, vision, prescription). Telehealth access and HSA/FSA options.
