Job Description

Role Overview & Purpose An enterprise IT organization is launching a large-scale AI Transformation initiative to modernize how work is delivered across IT operations. As the initiative is in its early stages, there is a need for a PMO Transformation Project Lead to assess the current environment and define how the PMO should evolve to support AI-driven delivery. This is not a traditional PMO leadership role , but a consulting-oriented project lead responsible for driving discovery, establishing a baseline of current PMO capabilities, and delivering actionable recommendations on governance, structure, and operating model . The focus is on defining how people, processes, and technology should be redesigned to enable scalable, AI-enabled transformation. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end PMO discovery and current-state assessment , including tools, processes, governance, and organizational alignment Baseline existing PMO capabilities and identify inefficiencies, gaps, and improvement opportunities Develop a future-state PMO operating model , including governance, roles/responsibilities, and delivery frameworks Identify and recommend AI use cases to optimize internal processes (e.g., Quote-to-Cash, workflow automation, reporting) Deliver recommendations on people, process, and technology changes required to support AI-enabled operations Build and present transformation strategy and roadmap for PMO evolution Facilitate stakeholder interviews, workshops, and working sessions to gather insights and validate findings Provide guidance on PMO governance standards, methodologies, and best practices Support early-stage planning and prioritization for implementation of recommended changes Day-to-Day Activities & Deliverables Conduct stakeholder interviews to document current-state PMO processes Map workflows, identify pain points, and assess PMO maturity levels Analyze project delivery data to highlight trends and inefficiencies Produce current-state assessment and maturity models Design future-state operating model artifacts , including: PMO structure and roles Governance frameworks Standard delivery methodologies and workflows Identify and document AI-driven process improvements and automation opportunities Develop executive presentations outlining findings, insights, and recommendations Deliver a PMO transformation roadmap and implementation plan Lead recurring alignment meetings with key stakeholders Required Experience & Qualifications Proven experience leading PMO or IT transformation initiatives within large enterprise environments Experience designing or optimizing PMO governance, operating models, and delivery frameworks Background managing multiple complex IT programs/projects Experience leveraging or implementing AI / automation tools within business or IT processes Strong consulting skill set: discovery, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and executive communication Experience working within ServiceNow environments is a plus About Korn Ferry Korn Ferry unleashes potential in people, teams, and organizations.
