The role focuses on delivering high-quality projects, by way of custom windows/doors on time and on budget by coordinating trades, managing schedules and budgets, ensuring compliance with building codes, and maintaining excellent client communication. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all phases of residential construction projects, from planning and permitting through final delivery. Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules and budgets; implement corrective actions as needed to meet targets. Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate subcontractors and on-site crews; ensure work meets quality and safety standards. Conduct regular site visits to review progress, resolve issues, and enforce quality control. Manage procurement and delivery of materials, including doors, windows, timber, millwork and other specialty items; coordinate with suppliers and fabricators. Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts; ensure work complies with plans and building codes. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers and subcontractors; provide timely project updates and manage expectations. Identify risks and implement mitigation plans; manage change orders and document project decisions and communications. Ensure all safety and regulatory requirements are met on-site; promote a culture of safety and compliance. Perform closeout activities including final inspections, punch lists, warranty handover and final documentation. Qualifications Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction with a strong focus on residential projects. Demonstrated knowledge of residential construction methods, building codes, and site management. Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contracts and subcontractors on multiple simultaneous projects. Strong communication, leadership and client management skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and drive teams to deliver results. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications. Proficiency with project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore or similar). Relevant degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience; PMP or equivalent certification is a plus. Valid drivers license and the ability to travel between sites as required; familiarity with local permitting and inspection processes.
Nice-to-have:
direct experience with homes, doors and windows systems, timber/wood construction and millwork detail coordination. Commitment to workplace safety and relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, site safety tickets) preferred.
