This position sits on the Service Projects team of a single-source commercial facilities contractor, leading mechanical, electrical, and piping service work across retrofits, upgrades, repairs, and system replacements within active buildings. The ideal professional thrives on unique designs, tight deadlines, and challenging scopes, owning each engagement from initial customer contact through final delivery while balancing business development with hands-on project oversight. Requirements of the Service Project Manager (MEP) : Proven track record managing commercial mechanical, HVAC, or MEP service projects within the construction or facilities sector Five to seven years of project management in a comparable trade or industry Bachelor's degree in a related field of study Working knowledge of commercial building systems such as HVAC, sheet metal, piping, electrical, and building automation Comfort securing permits and overseeing required project approvals A polished sales approach backed by strong relationship-building instincts A sharp eye for detail, dependable problem-solving, and adaptability in a high-tempo environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications as well as Salesforce CRM Responsibilities of the Service Project Manager (MEP) : Manage commercial MEP and HVAC service projects from initial scoping through completion, providing clear direction at every stage Initiate customer outreach, assess facility needs, and pursue both new and existing service accounts Prepare and present tailored proposals, estimates, and pitches that address each client's system requirements Keep a tight handle on project expenditures to stay within established cost goals Source and procure the equipment, materials, and parts each service job calls for Troubleshoot issues that surface during active work and offer informed technical counsel to customers Field incoming client questions and sustain polished, professional correspondence Cultivate lasting, repeat partnerships that drive ongoing satisfaction and revenue Support as needed Benefits include: well-rounded health coverage for medical, vision, dental, and prescription needs, paired with virtual care options and tax-advantaged spending accounts.
