Job Description
Contractor / Consultant
Management Develop and manage scopes of work for contractors and consultants supporting natural resource projects; coordinate procurement steps as needed. Oversee contractor performance, deliverables, schedules, and invoicing with input from the Natural Resource Director; ensure work meets quality standards and aligns with permits, contracts, and project objectives. Outreach and Representation Represent Keep Tahoe Blue at partner meetings, public meetings, site visits, and stakeholder convenings as requested by the Natural Resource Director. Contribute to project communications by providing summaries, key milestones, and technical inputs for external-facing materials. Other Duties Supervise contractors, interns, and/or volunteers supporting natural resource projects (as assigned). Attend in-person meetings and activities as requested by the Natural Resource Director. Support program data tracking and management (via arcGIS, ESRI, etc.) as needed. Assist with Keep Tahoe Blue summer events. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience Required B.A., B.S. or M.S. in environmental science, hydrology, natural resources management, public administration, planning, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects, including schedules, scopes, deliverables, and meeting facilitation. Experience supporting permitting and regulatory compliance processes (e.g., coordinating permit applications, responding to agency questions, tracking conditions of approval). Experience managing contractors or consultants, including developing scopes of work, tracking deliverables, and reviewing invoices. Strong written communication skills, including the ability to draft clear project documentation, memos, and proposal content. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Ability to work effectively with teams and diverse individuals and to represent the organization professionally with partners and the public. Willingness and ability to work outdoors, potentially in inclement weather conditions; able to hike up to 3 miles. Computer proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Apps. Flexibility to work nights and weekends, as required.Preferred:
Familiarity with Lake Tahoe environmental and policy issues. Experience working with land management agencies, permitting entities, and/or public process requirements. Project management training or certification (e.g., PMP) a plus. A passion for environmental conservation and Keep Tahoe Blue's mission to Keep Tahoe Blue. Love of the outdoors. Keep Tahoe Blue Specific Requirements Employees are occasionally required to get around the basin for meetings. Employees should have means to get around sufficiently. Must be able to sit or stand at a desk and use a computer for significant periods of time. Position requires some physical activity such as bending, stooping, lifting and carrying. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Attend Keep Tahoe Blue cornerstone events as requested, such as the Annual Benefit, July 5th Cleanup, or Tahoe Forest Stewardship Day.Location:
