Job Description

Electrical Project Manager Bockmon & Woody Electric Co., Inc., is seeking a project manager with experience in Commercial, Institutional, and Underground Projects who will ensure that projects profitability and quality standards are maintained while ensuring effective communication and working relationships with other departments and divisions, and with the customer. This Project Manager will be accountable for delivering quality output, meeting customer expectations, managing the scope, delivering the project on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will be a strong manager and leader who can develop and implement effective tools, processes, and communications to ensure the continued profitable growth of the division.
JOB SCOPE
Oversee all aspects of electrical projects from Estimator Handoff to final closeout Coordinate submittal process Coordinate all equipment and bulk material buyouts for project Create detailed project schedules and maintain during course of construction Collaborate with pre-fab and pre-planning departments to preform pre-job electrical layouts and value engineering designs. Coordinate and conduct effective project handoffs to onsite foreman and superintendent. Maintain customer interface and satisfaction throughout project Negotiate, schedule and oversee subcontractor scope of work Track project labor, equipment and material budgets throughout project Review and negotiate the overall contractual requirements for all projects Ensure schedule requirements are met for all projects. Readily adjust priorities and milestones based upon changing customer needs, resource availability, and job requirements Interact with the customer to validate expectations are understood and met before, during and after project completion Recognize and successfully negotiate appropriate change orders. Including changes in scope, extra work, compressed schedules, and any other cost impact that occur during the course of the project
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Project Management experience in electrical construction Understand engineering in electric power Field experience coordinating with construction management Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts Some experience in electrical estimating Communication skills, both oral and written Journeyman or Master Electrician's license a plus Strong computer skills Wage negotiable and DOE.
