Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY
The Project Manager / Engagement Lead serves as the primary interface between the consulting firm and the City of Thousand Oaks. This individual owns overall delivery quality, schedule adherence, stakeholder communication, and governance across all three project phases.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as single point of accountability for all project deliverables and City communications Develop and maintain the project schedule, risk log, and status reporting cadence Facilitate governance meetings with the City's project leadership and department heads Coordinate cross-functional workshops and ensure stakeholder participation across all 10 departments Oversee quality assurance of all deliverables prior to City submission Manage subcontractor scope, hours, and integration into the project team Lead executive briefings and presentations to the City Council/management as required Support contract negotiations and final vendor selection recommendation in Phase 3 QUALIFICATIONS 8+ years of project management experience in public-sector IT or ERP consulting Demonstrated experience managing multi-phase ERP assessment or implementation projects for municipal governments (preferred) Proven ability to manage cross-departmental stakeholder engagement in a government environment Familiarity with California public procurement regulations and City purchasing policies Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience presenting to executive and elected audiences
