Job Description

Established 40+ Years Premier Full-Service General Contractor Seeking Construction Project Manager for Commercial and High-End Residential Construction near Santa Barbara or Ventura, CAA licensed California-based general contracting company with over 40+ years in business is seeking a Construction Project Manager with 5+ years of experience to lead projects from pre-construction through close-out across Ventura to Santa Barbara, CA. This Project Manager will oversee a mix of ground-up high-end residential homes and commercial construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, client satisfaction, and on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experienceMinimum 5+ years of project management experience in construction, with a focus on ground-up, high-end residential and commercial projectsStrong working knowledge of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and cost forecastingProficiency in construction management software, with Procore preferred, and experience using SmartsheetSkilled in reviewing plans and specifications for constructability and sequencingExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a client-focused, professional demeanorProven ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines simultaneouslyTrack record of mentoring and supporting project team members in a collaborative environment
Responsibilities:
Manage projects through all phases, including pre-construction, construction, and close-outDevelop and maintain budgets, schedules, and cost forecasts to keep projects on track financiallyCoordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to align project execution with design intent and client expectationsNavigate permitting and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycleOversee procurement of materials and subcontractor buy-outPrepare scopes of work and review contracts and subcontracts for accuracy and completenessAnalyze plans and specifications for constructability and sequencing opportunitiesMaintain comprehensive project documentation, including RFIs, logs, daily reports, submittals, and change ordersMonitor jobsite progress, safety compliance, and superintendent performanceLead project meetings and provide consistent updates to clients and internal team membersMake sound decisions under pressure to resolve complex project challenges as they arise
