- No Sponsorship Available Seeking a detail-oriented Project Controls Specialist to support complex engineering and construction projects through all phases of execution.
This role is responsible for managing project controls processes, cost tracking, scheduling, forecasting, reporting, and project performance analysis to help ensure successful delivery within budget and schedule. Responsibilities Lead project controls activities in coordination with project management teams Set up and maintain projects within Enterprise Planning & Controls software Analyze project data, review logs, and generate reporting metrics Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) Prepare and maintain schedules, cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow reports for multiple projects Support engineering, procurement, construction planning, logistics, scheduling, and cost control efforts Review and maintain project schedules, logic ties, critical path activities, and resource loading Conduct schedule analysis, forecasting, earned value management, and what-if scenario planning Review project change orders, purchase orders, and subcontract coding accuracy Collaborate with project management and accounting teams regarding project costs, contingency tracking, and audit support Support project planning meetings and provide schedule progress updates Develop progress curves, validate progress measurements, and perform material takeoffs Perform quality checks, field audits, and inspections related to project controls deliverables Assist with forensic schedule and cost analysis as needed Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred Equivalent applicable experience may be considered in place of degree requirements Minimum 3 years of direct project controls experience Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 preferred Strong understanding of scheduling, forecasting, cost management, and critical path methodologies Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills OSHA 10-hour certification or ability to obtain certification
