For more information on our company please visit www.myers-sons.com Position Description We are currently looking for a Project Manager who is ready to engage on Treatment Plant projects in Colorado both hard bid and
CMAR / CMGC.
Below is a description of a couple of these projects. Boulder Clarifier The city owns and operates the WRRF, which is rated for a maximum month flow of 25 MGD of wastewater. The WRRF began operations in 1968, and the capacity and complexity of its treatment process has evolved based on growth and water quality regulation progression. The WRRF's current wastewater treatment process uses four (4) secondary clarifiers to separate secondary solids and scum from clean secondary effluent. Three (3) of these were originally constructed and put into service circa 1987. These original three clarifiers are at the end of their useful life and in need of replacement. Generally, the scope of work will involve: Removal and replacement of two 110 ft diameter secondary clarifier mechanisms and associated ancillary components within existing basins Removal, recoating, and reinstallation of existing bridges Removal and reinstallation of existing weir brush units Electrical and control system connections Testing, startup, and training services Town of Eagle
WWTP CMGC
We are currently in the Preconstruction phase of this project and will be moving to construction later this spring. The WWTP improvements project will be designed and constructed in two parts: Part 1 - Wastewater Treatment Process Improvements (located within the existing treatment building):
  • New internal mixed liquor recycle (IMLR) system (3 pumps along with pipes, valves, flow meters and appurtenances)
  • Replacement of three existing aeration blowers with four new aeration blowers
  • New valves for aeration piping
  • Electrical upgrades for new blowers and IMLR system
  • Instrumentation upgrades for new blowers and IMLR system
  • Miscellaneous structural improvements (equipment pads, supports, baffle wall supports) Part 2 -
New Chemical Storage Building:
  • Construction of a new chemical storage building
  • External chemical fill point stations
  • Chemical feed systems for Micro-C and Caustic Soda
  • Buried utility relocation in the chemical building footprint within the WWTP property
  • Site grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control around the chemical building footprint
  • Electrical service to the new chemical storage
  • Heating and ventilation for the new chemical storage The ideal candidate is capable of thinking outside the box, understands multi-staged construction projects, is detailed oriented with experience in Treatment Plant construction.
The position is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and team development on site. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Manages all aspects of the project, including construction, budget and cash management for a single assigned project to ensure compliance with the project contract and owner needs. Develops and manages the project schedule, pay estimates, project procedures, and equipment resources needed to complete accurate and timely project production. Develops and manages the project organizational chart and staffing assignments for each phase of production, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of project objectives. Provides technical insight to project pursuits and participates in bid interviews, as necessary. Assesses the initial project contract and works with owner to resolve specification, contract conflict and scheduling issues. Engages with all project stakeholders proactively, including managing partners, local landowners, business owners and regulatory bodies that will have influence over project success. Coordinates with construction management team to identify project risk and negotiate change orders with owner to ensure efficient and effective project production. Supports and promotes project safety by ensuring compliance with the project safety program, company safety procedures and owner safety policies. Reviews weekly safety reports and participates in monthly safety review meetings with project personnel. Reviews and approves staffing and equipment needs for efficient and effective project production. Negotiates dispute resolutions with the project owner, engaging internal legal counsel where necessary. Provides input on equipment procurement methods and contracts to ensure efficient and effective project production. Leads project closeout procedures, finalizing contract paperwork, obtaining retainages and working with management to resolve any project claims. Leads project debrief cycle to review all aspects of project work and completion. Maintains knowledge of Company values and strategic plan. Perform additional assignments per management's direction.

Position Requirements Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred 7+ Years of Experience in highly complex and related Treatment Plant or Heavy Civil project in the United States.
