JOB OVERVIEW
We're a boutique, full-service marketing agency in downtown Fort Collins, and we're hiring an Account & Project Manager to be the center of how work gets done here. You'll own client relationships, keep projects moving, and make sure impactful marketing actually happens. POSITION PURPOSE
As the central hub for agency workflow, you will lead the relationship between Sage and assigned clients. You will autonomously manage client projects with clarity and accountability, translating client goals into actionable marketing tasks. This role keeps internal teams aligned on scope, timelines, budgets, and bandwidth, while ensuring clients understand how our work supports their broader business goals.

Strong agency instincts, understanding how marketing moves from strategy to execution. Proven experience in an agency environment, comfortable wearing multiple hats and adapting daily. Confident working directly with clients, building trust through proactive communication and flawless follow-through. Highly organized, navigating project management platforms (like Basecamp) to manage details without losing the big picture. A calming force capable of bringing structure to moving parts, shifting timelines, and competing priorities. Cares about strong work, strong relationships, and helping a team get better. Curious about marketing trends and how AI/emerging tools improve agency efficiency.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead & Communicate:
Manage assigned client projects across branding, digital, and ongoing support. Serve as the primary client contact, confidently leading meetings and status updates
Organize & Traffic :
Use Basecamp to manage timelines, budgets, deliverables, and internal expectations. Ensure all requests are properly briefed before entering the creative queue.
Allocate Resources :
Monitor internal team capacity, forecasting bottlenecks and assigning tasks based on bandwidth and client/project needs.
Review & Protect :
Evaluate work before client review to ensure alignment with the brief, brand voice, strategy, and Sage standards.
Adaptable Execution:
Step in to compile performance reports, brief/edit content, present to clients, and provide copywriting support; adapting to the needs of the client/project/team.
Innovate :
Enhancing processes when opportunities present themselves. Integrate AI and emerging tools to support research, content development, reporting, and workflow improvements.
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
3-5+ years of experience in a marketing, advertising, or digital agency. Direct client-facing experience in account management, client services, project management, or a similar agency role. Experience managing day-to-day operations of client accounts or marketing projects. Strong organizational skills, with expertise using project management software. Experience using project management software to keep work organized and on track. Ability to manage multiple clients, timelines, budgets, deliverables, and personalities at once. Excellent written/verbal communication and a professional client presence. Strong interpersonal skills and professional client presence. Experience working with creative, digital, content, and web teams. Working knowledge of brand, web, content, and digital marketing best practices. Understanding of the marketing funnel and how tactics support awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention, digital marketing and web best practices. Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Search Console, Google Business Profile, Meta Business Suite, Facebook Ads Manager, or similar platforms. Fluency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and common collaboration tools. Professional experience leveraging AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Midjourney, etc.) for marketing efficiency. Degree in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, digital media, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
EXTRA CREDIT SKILLS
SEO experience, including keyword strategy, content architecture, on-page optimization, technical SEO basics, and performance reporting. Familiarity with GEO and AI-search visibility concepts. Current certifications in Google, Meta, HubSpot, or related platforms. Experience with WordPress, Shopify, common CMS platforms, ecommerce platforms, CRM systems, or marketing automation tools such as GoHighLevel. Basic HTML knowledge. Experience writing, editing, or improving marketing content. Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other creative tools. Experience building processes, templates, workflows, or systems that make agency teams more efficient.
BASIC WORKPLACE STUFF

Support account, design, and development teams effectively. Work effectively with team members as well as autonomously. We don't micromanage, so you need to work well without us looking over your shoulder. Complete projects and marketing activities as necessary and/or as assigned efficiently to meet deadlines. COMPENSATION
: Salary range: $65,000 to $85,000, depending on experience. Full benefits This opportunity is full-time and based at our Old Town Fort Collins office. Commission opportunities from day one, and eligibility to participate in the annual bonus plan after one full year of employment.
