Job Description
Senior Mechanical Project ManagerTake the lead on complex mechanical construction projects where your decisions shape outcomes, drive performance, and keep major systems moving from concept to completion. This role is built for a seasoned project manager who thrives in fast paced environments, enjoys solving technical challenges, and knows how to guide teams toward successful delivery.
What You Will DoLead preplanning efforts including shop drawings, value engineering, prefabrication, and mobilizationManage all major tasks and deliverables for assigned construction projectsOversee project setup, budgeting, forecasting, and financial performanceReview drawings, specs, codes, and estimates to define clear project scopeCoordinate with engineering, field managers, subcontractors, and general contractorsDrive scheduling, manpower planning, and short interval goal trackingManage procurement of major equipment and materials to maintain budget alignmentLead subcontractor coordination, submittals, billings, and documentationOversee change management including estimating, negotiating, and implementing changesSupport QA/QC processes and ensure proper documentationGuide VDC/BIM coordination and resolve system integration issuesCoordinate system startup, controls, testing, and performance verificationMaintain strong communication with owners, field teams, and internal departmentsClose out projects with complete documentation and smooth turnoverMentor project engineers and support team developmentWhy This Role Stands OutYou own the full lifecycle of high value mechanical projectsYour leadership directly impacts schedule, cost, quality, and client satisfactionYou work with experienced teams across engineering, field operations, and constructionYou influence design, prefabrication, coordination, and system performanceYou get to solve real problems and see your work built in the fieldEvery project brings new challenges, new systems, and new opportunities to leadWhat You BringME or AE degree preferred; strong design/build background is a plus10 plus years of construction management experience at a supervisory level5 plus years as lead project manager on projects over 10MStrong background in commercial HVAC constructionExcellent communication and coordination skillsHighly organized and effective in fast paced environmentsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProficiency in Microsoft Office; Viewpoint experience is a plusValid driving approval per company standardsBenefitsMedical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, disability coverage, AD&D, employee assistance program, and optional additional insurance plans.
