ZAP is a full-service engineering, design, and construction management firm servicing the oil & gas, heavy industrial, mining, and manufacturing sectors. From our Lakewood, Colorado office, we execute projects across North America spanning from California to Florida and Canada down to Mexico. Our projects range in size from simple engineering studies or maintenance repairs to full-scale design of large facilities. ZAP operates at a fast-pace while providing a team-centric approach to our work.About your role:
This is a hands-on, full-time position with day-to-day duties that includes overseeing, coordinating, and managing the project execution of engineering and construction projects. Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities Proposal process management Assists the business development team with scoping projects for proposals. Manages the proposal process for engineering and small construction projects. Maintains relationships with client project managers. Prepares scopes of work for subcontractors. Develops project budgets. Client communication and management Manages client expectations for deliverables, schedule, and budget, in addition to managing work to the proposed scope to ensure budget goals are met. Provides project leadership with clients in meetings and communication, as well as maintains relationships with clients and other external stakeholders. Handles client billing and collection. Escalates issues with management / sales team to solve problems. Leads schedule discussions to ensure client objectives are met. Negotiates change requests and budget deviations for scope change. Internal team management & supervision Manages internal resources to complete deliverables on time and budget and manages cost estimate management including planning, organization, and review. Oversees deliverable quality assurance process, as well as deliverable workflow and planning. Fosters relationships with the team and internal management, as well as maintains relationships with directors and management. Manages procurements for equipment, material, and services. Facilitates communication with the team and other stakeholders. Leads internal meetings for coordination and planning the work. Provides project leadership with the internal team. Project Reporting Manages accounting and internal reporting tasks, assists the team with earned value management reporting and provides weekly status report review and editing with input from the team. Escalates issues with management to facilitate problem solving. Monthly project reporting for larger and more complex Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects. External stakeholder communication and management Manages vendor, contractor, permitting jurisdiction, and other external stakeholder communications. Maintains contractor interface during construction bidding, as well as manages the vendor/supplier relationship during bidding. Assist with other duties as assigned .Work Hours:
Company Hours This position works 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours vary and are dependent on business needs. 40 Hour Work Week Monday through Friday, Hours may vary with the workload. Evenings/Weekends/OT As needed to satisfy the requirements of the position.Benefits:

Preferably an Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Structural or Electrical Engineering. Project Management Professional, required or Professional Engineering License, preferred. Type of Experience Needed to be Successful Minimum of 7-years' relevant experience in technical project management or comparable technical leadership position required (10-years preferred). Specialized Skills Advanced communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, to deliver complex information effectively and align people with the needs of the project/team. Advanced problem-solving skills, to be able to manage complex situations with multiple layers and resolve to solution anticipating needs now and into the future. Advanced awareness of workflow, and project tradeoffs to make decisions based on needs now and into the future. Advanced leadership skills with experience leading large or technical teams through complex deliverables. Expert user of technology and software required to execute daily tasks. Project scheduling software knowledge / scheduling techniques, MS Office Suite, Navisworks. Creates a strategy for building relationships with the team, clients, and stakeholders. Must have a valid, active driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record.Supervisory Expectations:
The position has immediate oversight of team members most of the time performing the same or directly related work as those the position leads. Independence of Action Results are defined and existing practices are used as guidelines to determine specific work methods and conducts work activities independently; supervisor/manager is available to resolve problems.Physical Demands and Work Environment:
