Bidding Director- Special Projects The Lane Construction Corporation United States, Connecticut, Cheshire 90 Fieldstone Court (Show on map) Apr 17, 2026 Lane Construction is one of America's leading construction companies, specializing in large, complex civil infrastructure. Description:
Identifies project risks and opportunities, including scope changes, market fluctuations, and regulatory requirements, and develop risk mitigation strategies. Leads the preparation and submission of competitive bids and proposals. Analyzes project requirements, specifications, and client needs to develop comprehensive bid strategies. Collaborates with internal teams (e.g., estimating, procurement, legal) to gather necessary information and ensure bid completeness. Reviews and approves final bid documents before submission. Monitors market trends and competitor activities to inform bid strategies. Oversees the creation of detailed and persuasive proposals that meet client requirements and highlight the company's strengths. Ensures all proposals are accurate, compliant with client specifications, and submitted within deadlines. Develops and maintain proposal templates and other standard documents to streamline the bidding process. Coordinates with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary input and ensure alignment with bid. Establishes and maintains effective communication channels with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams. Oversees the cost estimation process to ensure accurate and competitive pricing in bids. Collaborates with the finance and procurement teams to develop budgets and ensure cost-effectiveness. Reviews and approves final cost estimates and budgets included in bids. Monitors and reports on bid success rates, proposal quality, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Conducts post-bid reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement. Mentors, coaches, provides feedback and evaluates performance of staff members. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree Employment Conditions:
